Minecraft & Java Development

High-performance infrastructure and custom plugins

I've always been a gamer; so when I stopped my projects on FiveM, it was obvious to me that servers and development wouldn't end there. With friends, we launched a Minecraft survival — the ideal opportunity to once again put my skills to work on a concrete project.

In September 2025, after tearing my Achilles tendon, I wanted to take things further to pass the time. Having played for several months on an anarchy server, I wanted to configure my own public server, whose requirements are quite different from a simple server among friends. I rented my first VPS and learned to configure a true production environment using Docker via Pterodactyl. By setting up DNS redirections, the server became a real technical laboratory.

To go beyond the limits of vanilla Minecraft and stand out from thousands of other servers, I decided to learn to write my own plugins in Java. The goal was not only to create a unique experience, but also to write maintainable long-term code without ever impacting performance during peak player counts. To promote the server, I launched a series of livestreams which gathered a small community and helped make the project known on its own scale.

In the spring of 2026, building on this experience, we decided to evolve the server into a version 2: new features, improvements and updates to older plugins, and the addition of a real database. For everything not directly related to development, I was lucky to be supported by the LostDynasty staff team. I coordinated the various tasks while listening to feedback and test results from the team, who put newly developed plugins through their paces.

The project is far from over and great things are yet to come, including the upcoming release of a dedicated website as well as numerous events. I can only warmly thank the players and staff members.
